Mural #7

This portrait is of Najee S, a young participant of the Philadelphia art education program. This mural by Amy Sherald challenges ideas about identity and public gaze on women and african american women in specific. It shows how one woman’s perspective can change the experience or look of what another person may think. By seeing the perspective of someone else we change our perspective or question how we may think.
