In this mural you see a image of Gloria Casarez Philadelphia’s first director of LGBT affairs. During her time in Philadelphia as the director she adopted the broadest LGBT rights in the nation and ranked Philadelphia as the number one city for LGBT equality She was a prominent member of the LGBT community as fought tirelessly to bring rights to everyone. This mural was put up to honor her hard work and sacrifice she passed away on October 19, 2014 to a battle with breast cancer.
